Track Days

ORIGINAL: MarkK What u think?Convoy?
Yeah - should be just under 1.5 hrs from yours without flamage, and the traffic should be ok at that time. So, I'd have thought leave yours at about 7, or maybe a little before, to be there by 8.30?

Bedford weather update At my house (8 miles from the track) we had more snow last night so everything looks very pretty but the roads are completely clear of snow - including those that aren't gritted or very busy

The roads aren't a problem but I do wonder if they will be clearing the snow from the circuit? Without regular traffic, grit or even a snow plough I doubt it will melt much in the current temperature. We'll just have to wait for Javelins update this afternoon

Forecast for tomorrow is looking very cold but dry and even a little sunshine, if damp I expect track to dry by lunch, maybe before? Postcode for Bedford Autodrome is MK44 2YP. 4 of us will be at the Queens Head Hotel, Milton Ernest from about 5-6pm this evening if any of you traveling up today want to meet up, postcode MK44 1RU. After the event for those that are eating, we are going to the Sharnbrook Hotel for 6pm, postcode MK44 1LX, the site has plenty of parking and room for more diners if you are yet to decide to eat. Johnny Tipler and his snapper from 911 & Porsche World will be covering our little event and will be looking to speak to a few of you and look at a cross section of our cars. Despite the cold I think we can still have a really good day and I hope you all get something out of it. If successful I hope to make these sorts of trackdays a more common feature in future. Enjoy! Edd

Hi All, Just packing the car before leaving for the Queens head. Shall I put a trolly jack and a couple of axel stands in the car (So we've got some if we need them)? Or are there some there in the pit? Regards Jason

A shame, I have to say I'm glad they sent the mail before I braved the cold to change the brake fluid.

Damn and blast. Just rolled up to my unit to bleed my clutch and do final prep! Gutted that this is cancelled. Maybe we can turn it into a gathering?

Gutted, almost surprised as the snow is melting in Peterborough at the moment, but if the track hasn't been cleared then I can see why.

Gutted and a bit miffed if I'm honest. If anything the forecast for tomorrow is better now than it was when Andy spoke to Javelin on the 22nd and at that stage they didn't think a cancellation was likely.

Gutted! Obviously haven't seen the track but supposed to brighten up tomorrow and no snow on roads...

I've just seen that its been cancelled on PH, really gutted for all of you :( Hope you can get a summer date with the price you paid for this one

I'm sure they were hoping the temperature to rise a little bit today so it might melt as there has been no snow since morning. However it's not going to get above freezing so that won't happen and I am sure they don't have a snow plough for the one or two trackdays a year it might snow. There is a date at Bedford on Monday 20th May
