Viewing a 968 Club Sport this week.....

I think at the end of the day a Club Sport fitted with options such as electric windows / sunroof etc is always going to be worth slightly less than the more lightweight versions with all manual features. Those also fitted with the M030 option and LSD option will command a greater price because they are rare and ideal for track use.

Lightweight ? M030 for track use ? Rare ? Sounds like sales BS to me. I don't care what people want to spend their money on but chucking a set of Pole Positions in a Sport makes it the same car to me.

it will be different, but the cars are all the same, I just don't get this lust for a CS.....................

Cheapest way to get something to CS spec is to buy a decent coupe then strip out/replace the different bits - OK, the Recaros are hard to find and expensive, but there are other hard shell lightweight seats that are similar. The suspension lowering and brake upgrades are easy and not that expensive, euqally the LSD if you want to go the whole hog. End result is a car to CS spec at a far lower price than buying a "genuine" CS - OK, it does not have CS on the CoA, but it's the same spec for a lot less money, especially as "real" CS's are now 25k+.

Considering the difference full fat coupe to CS is about 1/2 a second 0-62mph - why all the hype around CS's??? My tip coupe was more than quick enough for me, and my tip cab is also as quick if I decide to hoon it.

Went to see my 968 again today and, give the chap who's selling to me a few more quid [:(]! Should be collecting it in a few weeks time, all being well [;)]. Anyway, while I was at his mansion, I took a few pics if you would like to see what I have bought? Only problem is, I'm not too sure how to get them up on here? Any suggestions?? [8|].

As you requested Pete

Pete assures me he is going on a diet so he can get in the Buckets LOL!!!!

With those seats and wheels, he'd better keep some padding round his kidneys, or it'll be like the time I test drove a TVR, kidneys bouncing from nose to toes!!:ROFLMAO:

That's a very subtle CS Pete....brake ducts instead of driving/fog lights, looks like privacy glass, black, black, then shouty orange on the sides!! But it's got a sunroof and radio, so yet another CS with some of the comfort pack options!!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Nice car, I may be wrong but it looks a bit like a 968 that was for sale, and then put up for sale for a lot more dosh not long after.

Hi all, thank you for putting these up on here for me Martin, Cheers mate [:)]. Well, can anyone tell me anything about this car? The chap I am buying it from has only owned it for about fifteen months and put less than two hundred miles on it in that time. He tells me that the chap he bought it from was a Porsche technician and, it was he that converted it to a club sport from a sport. It has Tech Art 18" wheels, Kwv3 suspension, Big red brake set up, poly bushes and uprated ARB's, brand new Michelin Sport pilot 2 tyres (or whatever they are called), blah, blah, blah [8|]!!! Who knows this car? By the way, those horrendous graphics will have to go [:(][:'(]!!

I will be going on a diet when I return from "Busfest" Martin [;)].....:ROFLMAO:!!

I think your car was up for sale at RPM Tecknic in Herfordshire a while back !
I'm sure I have seen this car for sale about 18 months ago, went for about 12K

It's looking great, very nice. It's a well known car, you can find info on porsche968uk

Thanks for all your replies guys [:)]. We are just off to "Busfest" in the Malvern Hills [8D]. I will check our 968 uk next week. Until then. Enjoy Brands Hatch!! Cheers guys.

I wonder what the original seats and wheels in good condition would make now, and how much the speculator market would chip this car for having wrong bits fitted ?

I don't think it has got the wrong bits fitted, they are upgrades to what I believe was originally a Sport. Nice car all the same, and had some worthwhile improvements.
