I wonder what the original seats and wheels in good condition would make now, and how much the speculator market would chip this car for having wrong bits fitted ?

I don't think it has got the wrong bits fitted, they are upgrades to what I believe was originally a Sport. Nice car all the same, and had some worthwhile improvements.

The CS decals and badge are improvements ? And what dia are those wheels ?

Techart 18" wheels, Kv3 Suspension and a claimed ÂŁ8,000 of upgrades when it was on sale in March.

A good buy for ÂŁ12k.

Hello everyone, thank you for all your (mostly) positive replies [:)]. Mr Blade 7, listen mate, I can't help but notice your little digs but, I'm not going to bite [8|]. So what if it went for 12k a year ago? I absolutely love it, that's why I bought it! It drives superbly and, I can't wait to collect it [8D]! Who cares if it's a "Club Sport", "Sport" or a coupe with a few mods? I don't and, this is defo' the car for me! It is totally immaculate and , it is most certainly a "keeper" for me [:D]! My little Boy loves it and so do I so, that's all that matters to me, ok? I have 20k to spend on a Porsche and, I have decided NOT to waste it on a "shed" of a 964 which I will have to do fifteen grand's worth of body work to, when I can have this lovely 968 track focused car and, don't have to spend anything on it? A "no brainer" [;)]. Also, I learnt at a very early age the old adage, "one should never begrudge the next man his profit" [:D]. Cheers guys. Oh, if anyone knows of any more of the cars history, please let me know. Thanks guys [;)].

Pete, if you want helpful comment and a bit of banter without the BS, you know where to find 968 owners!

You've bought a car you are really happy with, and that's what really matters. The fact that 968's are appreciating at a rather rapid rate is good, but is a bit of a 2 edged sword. An owner I met last evening at Brands thought twice about taking his 968 on a 400 mile round trip Tuesday because of the added mileage to his appreciating car - but I'm about to take mine on a trip that will add 2-2.5K to her existing 75K!! It's about being happy about what you have and how you use it, and sod the silliness that occasionally surfaces on here. You only get one chance at life, so make the best while you're looking at the daisy flowers rather than the roots!!

Right on Pete don't bite,

and and I made the reference to the sale last year, and to clarify you will not buy a car like yours now for less than 16-17k

i know a man about to put a totally refurbished/rebuilt Sport on PH for 22K that's black as well

Your dead right about the Daisies Chris'!! I love the banter on here, that's why I renewed my PCGB membership [:D]. That, plus the fact that the 944 section missed my sparkling personality for about eight months [;)]. It's good to be a transaxle Porsche owner again (almost).

Lol. X2 [:D]

It's a great looking car with some nice additions, on the Tipec thread I made a cheeky offer with a view to converting it to a 3.0 turbo. Good luck with it, though I reckon JMG will be sticking a turbo on, or it will be in the classifieds within 12 months.

Ha,Ha! This one most certainly WONT be in the classifieds within the next 12 months or, ever [:D]!! I really love this car and so does Sid' (my little boy). No, this one is for keeps Paul [8D]. Jon' Mitchell has already been in touch with me, he can't wait to see it so, it will be booked in for a thorough "going over" and full service as soon as I get it home [8D][:D]! A 3.0 Turbo? Now there's a thought...Lol [:D].

Jon's been threatening to build a 968 turbo for years :), I'm sure he'll have all the parts saved up to convert yours.....for a price ;).
