Chas, constructive critisism here, change the tatty rear number plate it is letting the back end of your car down. A little bit like a Armani Suit with scuffed shoes.

Today I spent far far far longer than anticipated to get that plastic water deflector fitted behind the ABS pump. I resorted to twisting it into place with liberal persuasion from a long screwdriver and a pikey spanner. Grrr

Today I managed to find a very icy corner which hadn't been gritted and managed a 180 degree spin! It was a windy country lane, so had to drive back the way I came for a mile to find somewhere to turn around (voluntarily). Luckily I was only doing about 15-20 when it happened, and I managed to keep it away from the grass bank... You'd think I'd learn, as my old MX-5 had lots of issues with the same corner!

Went from this:

And test fitted these (after coming to an arrangement with the supplier):

Excellent work Dave. Its a pig of a job on a series two car. Now: do all the instruments and switches work (the right things!)?

Ahhh well . . . On the one hand my gauges now light up super bright and white (and work with the dimmer too). But - I got a clock kit from Alasdair to replace the screen and bulb and have managed to snap the circuit board in the clock. So now need a knackered clock to gut. Edit: (and the horn push is a bit dodgy too - but it was before and I'm going to change it for a porsche crest one) Actually - anyone know where I can get a Porsche crest horn push apart from PorkChop?
