ORIGINAL: WBray Didn't do anything to the car itself but fixed some nice closed cell foam sheets to the garage walls in case any passengers over overenthusiasticly open a door and it allows me to leave the doors open and resting open if im doing anything inside the car and not have to cover it with a jacket or what ever

Can't say this too often. Putting it in the faqs doesn't seem to be enough! Whatever you need, call Porsche first. Then, at least you have a guide price, even if it's unavailable or silly money. Then, try the specialist suppliers, T911 will always give you the best options, and even sent me to ebay for the stone guards as they were as good, but cheaper, than he could supply. Then, try the breakers in the faqs such as Elliot at Porkaparts. Also, check the "alternative parts" faq, and any more options there are always gratefully received. If none of these gets you what you need at a reasonable price, only then should you risk ebay. Too many people are sucked in by the "Porsche parts are expensive" myth, and assume that every ebay seller is doing them a favour. [&o]Then called OPC Exeter to find brand new bits were half the price of the Ebay tat. Which was nice.

It might be worth leaving that until after Bedford. One tends to pick up a myriad of stonechips and molten bits of rubber/ brakedust after a trackdayORIGINAL: Ewan Having sorted out the mechanical side of things (he says!!!), the plan now is to get lots of little cosmetic jobs completed in time for the Bedford track meet.
