New arrival on this Forum! Not today, but went down to Beaulieu Autojumble on Saturday - from Stratford upon Avon - with 17 year old Grandson. Great drive up & back, only fly in the ointment was the dreaded solenoid click! Only did it twice...once at home before leaving & again in the Beaulieu car park, click, click, bloody click..then off we go! Havent sorted my details yey, nut it's Guards Red S2 Cabrio (89) Great car!

Fitted my spare binnacle surround and wired my oil temp sender up. Then realised that the carbon weaves go in different directions so will order a new piece for the radio blanking plate. I'll probably mount the boost gauge next to the oil temp gauge when I do. Plan is to treat myself to 3 x innovate gauges later in the year:

I'm planning to put the gauges in the top part as I can't get them into the actual binnacle. I'll also be getting some more understated gauges as these do the job but are far too "Fast & The Furious" for me. If I carry on in that vein I'll need a 24 speed gearbox like they have in the films :)

And a never ending supply of Nitrous maybe you could get a less bling version that is multi functional so switchable between inputs then you would only need one, an old LED chemical plant display instrument can be switched to read mA, Vdc, resistance and scaled accordingly then it would look like the digital clock.

Finally got mine back today [:D] Had the belts, water pump, oil cooler and housing, balance shaft seals, crank shaft seal, oil pump sleeve and thermostat replaced [8|] Got to leave a little cheaper until next pay day!

ORIGINAL: 944 man laust@earthlink.net I thought that he had stopped making them years ago, though.
Yup, that's his email address. He's been making some more :) Arrived with me in less than a week, $46 shipped.

I fixed my flapping around bridge spoiler that was only held in with one screw and glued and clmaped all the tangs back on the hockey style rear hatch trim ,back together very satisfying

Werent they about $25 when he first made them Dave? Not allowing for the shiny-shiny, do you think that this is a worthwhile mod?

$38 + $8 postage. Expensive for what they are but small scale production always costs more. I was redoing all the vacuum system on my car anyway so it seemed worthwhile.

Did the belts today! Much easier than expected and everything in true Porsche form came apart and went back together spot on! [:D]

Got quite a bit going on with mine, will update in the next few weeks, but I won't need stand alone gauges, everything will be view able and recorded on mobile phone via blue thooth, with the abilty 2 make fine tuning.

Some TLC yesterday... Replaced a std mirror with a manual 924 mirror on a friend's car. Repaired the wiring for the coolant temp gauge on another car and tidied up the DME boxes in the passenger footwell. Reinstalled the metal plate below the coolant hard line above headers, and vacuum cleaned mine.

Don't think these are to everyone's taste but got some OEM style decals fitted as think they look the part

The plastic trim that covers the heater blower under the bonnet on my S2 had a couple of minor cracks , I checked with OPC to find this part was available but had been revised three times, at around £54 I decided to take the gamble and order one. Picked the part up at Kendal OPC yesterday and initial thoughts were that it seemed of a thicker and better quality plastic, apart from that it seemed the same. This morning I removed the old part, necessitating the removal over the wiper arms, the plastic trim itself is held in place with double sided tape ( which comes applied to the new part), at the front edge the trim sits under the rubber bulkhead seal. With the old part removed and the old tape removed from below the screen I offered up the new part, it became obvious the new one needed to be trimmed with scissors near the drivers side wiper, not difficult at all. Now I was sure it was going to fit I took the time to thoroughly clean the area around the blower, a few leaves were removed and the wiper linkage was greased, any visible wiring was cleaned and lubed with penetrating oil. The area where the double sided tape bonds below the screen I cleaned with a quick wipe of degreaser to ensure a secure bond, then fitted the new trim and refitted the wipers. All in about an hours work and well worth removing this part to give the area underneath a good clean. Cheers, Paul Old part removed and area cleaned
