Gave my red car some beans this morning[8D] (within the legal limits) it runs so nice when the air is cool in the morning, pops, bangs, whooshes, sighs all round, lovely although i have put it away this afternoon to protect the paint from the sunshine, don't want it to go pink[&:] 205 gti sweatbox for the rest of the day[:D]

Put interior back in my car along with the rear cage. Front to go in tomorrow.

I turned mine over to make sure the belt wasn't stuck in one place.....and the other one I changed from red back to black, put some seats in yesterday and may take it to Brands Hatch this afternoon.

ORIGINAL: 944Turbo Took mine for a drive with the roof down, then gave it a wash,
Really hope you put the roof back up first :ROFLMAO:
Actually no, not this time, had cleaned and re-proofed the roof last time, so was just careful [:)]

Or the invisible man driving! Coming on well though, isn't it? [:)]
[:)] It's parked [;)]. I might have to resort to putting in a body but If he has a helmet at least I don't need to worry about a face. I've redone the seats now - a right pain as I had to reverse the normals to get it to work properly - and nobody likes that.

Just looked at all three of them and taxed one on line for the year. Insurance done on all three and the Supersport. Just been offered a nice 44 cabriolet with a K plate it has 16 speakers and no door pockets it is white with a blue hood and full leather interior. Belts and all rollers just been done, its up for £5,500 and he won't budge on that, thing is I have only got 3 indoor parking spaces, I am not sure I really want it but if anyone is interested I can put them in touch. I am starting to crumble though.

Refurbished my wheel centre caps as they had been scratched/dinged by an enthusiastic tyre fitter(s) and were generally letting the side down Removed the seats and pulled up all the carpet ready for deep clean/tidy up of wires and hopefully a stereo upgrade. Going to furniture clinic the fronts as a belt I have been wearing has rubbed black off on the bolster and nothing will shift it. Tried to find out why the rear light bulb keeps failing[:(] - cleaned out the boot drainage lines at the same time. She coughed up 5 quid and an old 50p in the process and the little round plastic grill air temp sensor cover for the dash that had gone missing from when I had work done on the heating system. Good times [:)]

A quick wash and replacement of the nearside amber side repeater for a clear one before getting called in for more decorating. Quick spin later on revelaed it runs better with the clear indicator so I'm expecting big things when the offside one is replaced too! [;)] That will hopefully be tonight, hooray for more light! Boo to torches at dusk and funny looks from the neighbours.

Actually cleaned mine yesterday with the view that I can now get out and do one panel an evening to try and reverse the winter matt pinkness...

I checked over my ignition system yesterday as she was playing up a bit when damp early morning (hesitant under load). Didn't find anything other than pitted contacts in dizzy cap, which are now sanded smooth! Was ok this morning. Also took out front pads and re-copper greased to try and remove "annoying squeal as come to halt when brakes up to temp" syndrome. I did acquire a full set of OEM shims on e-bay for a tenner but will keep those till changing pads next time. My current TRW's have their own metal shims attached although don't sink into pistons like OEM. Also replaced broken light pivot (o/s, inner wing one) on my mates 220 turbo. What a royal PITA that was! Also secured his washer pump so it doesn't fall under the light again causing the same carnage! Stuart

Never actually drove them, Black car still in for paint, bit the bullet and ordered a 24pin ECU Eprom so that i can fit chips to the 220 courtesy of James Eaton @ only 9, calling OPC tomorrow for new wastegate crush rings with a view to fitting the resprung wastgate shortly. I am off work tomorrow and have some "lift time" at my matey's garage, so an oil change (GULF 10/40W Semi Sync) plus MAHLE filter, suspect the oil pressure sender is laeking so i will nip that also. Will get Marks windy gun on the rear suspension arms and loosen them off and try to drop the back by an inch...............no actual vehicular movement but project progression !
