what did you do to your 944 today

ORIGINAL: VanhireBoys Hi Guys its been a while but I have been distracted with family and stuff so my beloved 944 is still indoors this year. Ive gotton misguided with family and stuff (Alannah the 15 month old is keeping us busy). I blame that on that time we all went to Cirencester in 2011[;)] Had to go in a panic to get the 944 declared as off the road. Much the same system as SORN over with yous. It was off the road since Oct 2012 and I had to get the RF100 form signed by the Garda to say it was off since then. I had to then fill in an RF150 then to declare the 944 as off the road until Aug 2014. The days of Gardai signing the car off is now over from the 1st Oct. If I didnt do this job I would have been liable for all the back tax which would have run into €1500... Bloody Irish red tape.. but I will deffo be back someday ! Good to see that the mainstays on this forum are still about along with a fair few new heads ! Keep up the good work and yes I have learned a few more songs that I will share should the occasion warrant it ![:D]
Hi Donal Glad things are all ok over there, all we need to do is arrange a suitable occasion for the concert! [:D][:D][:D]

fitted 2 new headlamps to replace my cracked one any discoloured one. Piece of cake to most of you guys, but quite a challenge for me so pleased with the outcome. gratuitous pic

Shiny and lovely, adjust those wiper blades so they sit below the bonnet edge, makes the cars lines look smoother.

Cheers guys, surprising how clean and shiny a dirty car can look in a photograph. Adjust the wiper blades? That's tomorrow's lunch time potter about sorted, Any hints and tips how to do it please?

New MoT obtained. No advisories. Only covered 7,300 miles in the last 12 months which is a little down on my usual mileage. I also had the fuel lines in the offside front wheel arch inspected and pronounced "good".

Craig I would think for the wipers you just remove the nut covers, undo the nuts to remove the wiper arms then just replace them rotated further clockwise. re-tighten nuts then check operation. Ref the sticker my square dash never had one on the back and I didn't miss it Glenn - good news on the MOT and pipes [8D]

Certain cars can look quite smart without a rear decal. Most road cars dont look right in my experience/opinion.

My car came to me without a rear decal and never looked quite right. It now wears on end looks much better!

I think I'm gonna do it. Only a tenner to replace anyway, and they sell them in gold which will be perfect for when I get my d90s refurbed in gold! (Maybe)
