what did you do to your 944 today

That was me in the grey Beemer waving like a nutcase on the M1 today!Your car looked epic,I looked in the mirror and as soon as I saw the brake intakes I knew who it was!Have a good time over there!!!

Replaced a front wheel bearing. Amazing how nice your car always drives after such a thing. Placebo effect is a fantastic thing! Stuart

Darryl - Isn't it a bit early to have your garage Christmas lights up?! Congrats on the turbo-look conversion. It's looking like a proper 944 now.

It is far too early for them! My step dad is lazy and leaves them up all year lol. Cheers! Hopefully it has the heart somewhen to go with the look [:)]

You've done a good job there Darryl [;)] Usually you see retro fits of big bumpers and they just never fit quite right but that looks like it's going to be spot on

Cheers Andy [:)] We'd been trying to take back as much as we could to make it look stock and just taking our time. Seems to have paid off quite nicely! Just hope it looks right after paint [:)]

Today I picked up my new car - a 944 Lux 2.7 in Glacier Blue. Driven back 90 miles - loved every minute. Smooth as silk. Will start another thread when it stops raining and I can take some decent pics.

I thought it was you Mark - although it confused me a bit not to see you in a Porsche [:D] Got back last night, good trip but the S2 is a bit poorly - details to follow when I've investigated. You're right though, the car just looks so right....two of my friends on the trip want to buy it..

ORIGINAL: Craigybaby Fao edh, any tips on getting the dynax in please? Got mine here ready to go but keep putting it off.
Craig it's dead easy. 2 ways into the outer sills 1. Remove the big black vent from the rear of the door shut - insert nozzle & spray... 2. From underneath you can see the outer sill has four drain holes - again, insert nozzle (it fits) and spray... Stick some card or paper under the drain holes to catch the wax as it drips out. My driver's sill is not an OE part, so I just drilled 4 holes where the factory drain holes are & sprayed it that way.

Put mine in for its MOT yesterday went straight through well happy :D Though now a lot of people I know think my car is for sale as my sister keeps getting on my facebook trying to sell my car for a laugh :/

Removed the arch liners to remove any dirt or debris that had collected this year and then greased all the connectors, bolts and unions and gave the car a good coating of Dinitrol and cleaned the arch liners before re fitting [:)]

Surprised how much dirt there was in just one arch [:-]

That lift really is perfect for jobs like that! It's worth cleaning out those inner arches, much easier than dealing with the consequences as I'm doing now!

I will do all the jobs I want to do before I put it back on its wheels. Making sure there's plenty of grease applied and all areas coated with Dinitrol to hopefully keep the car rust free for the next 10 years plus. I agree that preventative work is much easier and cheaper than remedial work later on down the line. This will be a yearly job [:)]
