what did you do to your 944 today

ORIGINAL: Veerzigzag
Forgive me if I am teaching you how to suck eggs
Not at all - but I still can't edit the image in there - but thanks anyway. At least you have all seen my new cover!
You can PM if you wish to see how you wish to edit the pics :). If you wish to reduce the size of the pics etc. however, it would have to be done on Photobucket :). Frenchy, I used to do that (and it is a simple way), but I also tend to use more than one forum where others prefer using IMG tags, making life interesting for when sharing the same pic a few times . Nice cover BTW. I have been thinking about getting a cover myself :).

ORIGINAL: Frenchy Is there not an idiot proof way of posting pictures as i usually have problems, it surely would be easier just to post the image link between the 2
then copy the 'direct link' into the gap. (on photobucket click 'direct' beside the pic you want and it auto copies it, then back on here just paste between the 2 image words). test image! (the cab almost looks blue - they are the same colour really!)

Repaired the earth wire for the windscreen washers - success! Amazing how much you miss washer jets, even on a sunny day. Also earthed horn and re-aligned contact ring in steering wheel. Hopefully she's now all ready for the dreaded MOT .... Russ

Nice picture [:)] Is 944 T the cars registration?
No, its just the plate I use for trackdays/shows (and in fact another guy started using it at shows too on a similar coloured, but much shinier car) which amused me. The coupe has been off the road for a few years and normally stays at a friends workshop, it was there (my Mums, where the cab lives) on its way to a track day. Tony

Hope you and yours are keeping well Tony, how long has it been ? still remember the PCGB show in Lancashire when we never made the gate to marshal due to a bottle of rum that Al Rostron donated ! [&:]

Too long! All good, wish the same to you and yours, Yes Yudra still reminds me of how green I can look after alcohol [:'(] by referencing that night up in Lancashire (Hoghton Tower wasnt it?) very messy but a lot of fun [:D] we rolled up completely unprepared and were well looked after by you guys, that must have been at least 15 years ago, scary!

Yep, very green indeed, i tried to sort you with warm tea, you brought that up, i woke up with the hangover from hell with my tent wideopen and lots of people milling about.............Disgraceful [:D] Yes Houghton Tower. Bloody 944 Lot [8D]

After doing some minor jobs that needed sorting I washed the car today. Took it out for a late afternoon blast with a mate so got some photos during a stopping point.

Thank you :) Yeah it is, Terra off here sold me the front end and then I had it sprayed. It was smoothed in previously along with the washer jets for the lights

Darryl those are some lovely touches on your car, with the hard work really seeming to pay off :). I almost went with a set of number plates similar to yours for my car :). Yesterday I had some new Michelin Pilot Sport 3s fitted onto the 944. The reports between these and the PS2s seem to vary wherever you ask, but on first impressions the PS3s have yet to fail in impressing me. Wet weather handling is great with these however :). I spent quite a bit of time in the 944, only to bump into a similar 944 in town! This was a late S2 specified as my Turbo would have been from the factory (bar maybe my car having slightly wider D90s). It was interesting to see the two cars side by side, and how mine looked (IMO) quite different with the Cup 1s and lowered ride height. Which look do I prefer? In these poor photos it is hard to tell!:

Mine is in for MOT which was fine. Random heat in the cabin was traced to the control unit being faulty so needs to be replaced. Should pick it up middle this week. Loving the kalahari beige car above. Looks great. Why the change of front ends?

Thanks Chas :) what a cooncidence bumping in to one very similar! I really quite like it on the cups and lowered - then again I like to see peoples personal touches on cars :) Thanks Andrew, I just prefer it a lot to the n/a front end and my original front end needed tlc so took the opportunity to do it.
