Got thge outer sill on as well as rear quarter and wee bit of rear arch in front of the wheel. Photo's soon

As there was a little love received for my last pics, here's some more Just been out cleaning and fettling again today. Doors now have new polythene membrane fitted to protect the lovely Porsche script door cards. Door mirrors are now rewired so now work again along with the electric windows. The speedo cable snapped on Thursday so I have now removed the old cable and awaiting the new one (£11 from OPC, £24 from Porscheshop!!) Fettled the wiring in places and at the back of the fuse box. All lights, indicators, brake lights all work as they should. Finished fitting the 944 rear seat. Looks very Club Sport. Fitted some grommets into the seat belt holes after I took the pics. Camera flash makes the differing black carpet look more prominent than it really is.

Just a few more new finishing parts arriving next week to fit and it should all be done for the time being. Then I need to start again with some work to the forever reoccurring blowing exhaust and fitting the intercooler and associated pipework. Likely to be later this Summer

Looking really good Stevem. I love the simplicity of your interior with a great big white cage in there too [:)]

Been working in Cyprus this week, flew back this morning, my brother mot'd the cab Wednesday for me, rear tyres borderline illegal, so put black cup 2s on from coupe, ready for cotswold rally. Black centre caps are on the track wheels on the coupe in storage so had to use silver centres which is annoying. Ready to cover some miles tomorrow, hope its roof down weather!

Took the wheels off for a deep clean to - quite bad corrosion on the front right on the inside surface - will need to treat them to a full refurb. Cleaned the arch areas in general - dressed all the front arch liners and plastics with AG products which came up like new. Polished the little brake cooling plate deflector things? Polished some slight scratches out of the rear panel under the boot lock. Might need to go to W+D though as still can be seen though far more feint.

Actually used mine properly today, went on a little tour of a few local places with my girlfriend, had a lovely day. And then came back and finally started on sorting the paintwork of the front left wing which was awful anyway, and also had some damage where a previously-filled bit had been hit and the filler cracked. Hours of fun to be had there...

Fitted a VDO boost gauge to see what is happening after chips, 3 bar FPR, Bailey DV,Promax boost enhancer, the old wastegate is spinning up to 18 psi no probs, but not holding so resprung wastegate going on, running rich when cold so need to sort that. Black car still in the paint shop !! Could be off to bonny Scotland for Sulzeruk's garage day on Saturday.

Today I collected the MOT certificate. [:D] It lives on for another year now it has had the hand brake adjusted and two new rear boots. The underside is 'solid enough' so my worries are somewhat calmed and no advisories. [:D]

I polished all the Off side panels and the rear, just the roof, bonnet and front are still matt pink....looks a bit odd but at least I see shiny haunches in both mirrors now!

Hi Pixie Thats the 2.7 I used last weekend.but it is now A9XXC so I guess I'm keeping that one. This week the 2.7 has had replacment wheels currently with road legal track tyres fantastic in the warm dry conditions we've been having burst fuel pipe (see hot stuff) replaced that. put anti rattle springs on the rear brakes. The square dash blew a headlight bulb but the connector disintegrated so sorted that and the electric Ariel had stopped working and I fixed that. Yesterday we went for a bit of a drive and a walk in the 2.7, decided aircon doesn't work As for which one is better- later car is more refined a little moreGT than sportscar. The older car is more fun at sloer speeds steering and handling more direct. The different front suspension geo and PAS make them very different. If I had just bought them both I would keep the early car, but I've had it 3 years and whilst I'd love to keep them both the early car is now forsalee.

A9XXC - You know I've had both, lol. Absolutely agree with everything you said and why I love my square dash so much, just interested to see what other people think of them back to back! Is your plate a private one then? I thought it belonged to the early car. As for what I've been doing to my 944 ... yesterday I stripped the steering rack off the car[:(] First time new Pixie's been off the road, got to wait for the "shops" to open to get parts as well!

over this weekend I have finnished putting the drivers side together.Test fitted the 968 style sill covers and just trying to get ahead.

Booked OUD in for some cosmetic work on the sills...inspection shows it is probably no more than the stone chip coating lifting and bubbling. Then it will be off on to some track days.
