sorry to hear that....it's not the end of the world though, most if not all 944's have had some form of rust restoration now.....perhaps if you give your location someone may be able to recommend a body shop near by....

Pete

Thanks, I'm in Edinburgh area.

Brian Miller who does all my work has recommended a body shop in Motherwell but I've not managed to speak to them yet.

cool.. in that case, being down in North London I'd have been useless in helping...:)

hope you get the car sorted soon...good luck

Pete

hi there

Who did Brian recommend? I'm in Edinburgh and also need both sills done on my 944 S2!

Any help appreciated.

Mark

Hugh Corrance at AC Accident Repair Centre.

Unit 5, Braidhurst Industrial Estate, Motherwell, ML1 3ST.

I don't know him but Brian says he knows lots of people who have used him and has seen his work which is always to a good standard.

Good luck!

A Lot of the guys in Scotland use Jaks body shop in East Kilbride. Check porsche club Scotland Facebook for a few photos etc on a recent visit they had there.

Finally booked her in for a full engine rebuild. After 225,000 miles she's been using too much oil for a while now and is significantly down on power so I'm looking forward to getting back over the 200bhp mark (and then some) by the end of September. Also changing the original clutch which has been a bit juddery for the past 50,000 miles years and bloody hard work to press to the floor recently.

Finally got the wing off tonight, a heat gun on the sealant along the inside of the wing made it so much easier to remove.

Ooh interesting... who's doing the work?

...my clutch lasted 236k btw :)

Kevin at EMC in Birmingham. Had several long chats with him as well as Augment, Pro-9 and SimonP before making the decision. I can't wait to drop her off in a fortnight :p

Supplemented the standard factory speakers with this Bose powered sub from a Mazda 6.

All in, under £50 for the sub, relay and wiring bits I needed. My head unit has a dedicated sub output and switch wire so it was a doddle to wire in too!

Secured in with a longer M10 bolt (not shown) and the loom unclips from the sub so it takes 30 seconds to remove.

It sounds fantastic!

I've been looking at these good to see a picture of one fitted.

After the 'trails and tribulations' of late, I decided to give the old girl a good clean for not costing me too much money to get running sweetly again... she still buffs up well for her age...:)
