what did you do to your 944 today

Depends on the quality/type of paint and how much you are going to do yourself.

Full Spray jobs, strip down, prep, rebuild, are massively labour intensive.

I’m thinking about treating my S2 to a full respray.

Whats a sensible budget for a decent job?
hiya Mark,,,,

just to put into perspective,,,,i have no rust and great sills but previous owners had little bits painted at different times and with just a couple of my panels needing to go back to the metal,,, i was quoted £6k,,

best of luck,,jasonp

Cheers bud.

60miles done. Driving like a hoon! Lol.

Smooth, nice temperature, good oil pressure, good voltage. Happy days.

How accurate do people find the mpg gauge to be?

i have not a clue what my s2s fuel usage is but seems less then our SL,,,,,

Never really checked fuel use on performance cars unless it pointed to something wrong,,,,jasonp

Hi Jason, i'm not surprised. It was suppose to be a 'reply' to another post, but it seems to have not worked, and now i've no idea how far back the post was. Hay ho. :)

Started her up for the first time since Aug last year. Started off the button and purred like a kitten. Thats it now for another year.

Removed the Spotty rocker cover and dizzys surround for repaint. Not happy bunny paid good money to have it done and its reacted with something. Also renewed Fuel regulator and Fuel damper as I wasnt happy with the new coating.

Hi Sweetcorne,

just wondering what you are painting your cam cover with as Im planning to do mine soon?

Ian

Done some very wallet lightening stuff this month! Clutch and bloody clutch fork, as mine was almost kaput. Engine mounts, track arm, fan switch and fuel sender, as no amount of cleaning could get it to work. Oh and exhaust bracket and balance belt adjustment as it felt a few degrees out. So turned out to be a bit more work than I first thought, which is a pain as Ive also ordered a chipset, wastegate, boost controller and fuel pump to go in at the end of the month. I’m already crying over my bank Statement!

Took mine for a valet then hammered her and she is driving so well after all the recent work

massive bonus being able to use my I phone music on the stereo also,,
