what did you do to your 944 today

Fixed new rattle in drivers door (hooky thing that connects to arm rest ratlling against door frame![], now suitably modded to be quiet![:D]), topped her up with oil and screenwash, hopefully in the right places, and now ready for morning dash to golf club for 7.37am tee-off tomorrow! Stuart

great read, keep up the good work :)
been a member over at RR for a while and never seen that thread, glad I have now you're doing a fantastic job with that engine!

I know this thread about what was done today, but tomorrow the PCGB championship is at Donnington incase anyone is out and about and fancies watching some racing,I am dreaming of two solid finishes no more than that[:D] Come by and say hi[:D]

Drove up to the Carron valley, went for a walk, drove it back. The B818 is a bit bumpy near the Carron reservoir (don't envy the bikers) but once you get on the B822 its fantastic and I had an empty road all the way into Lennoxtown. :)

As mine is needing an MoT next month I jacked up the front end to see if I could locate the source of the random knocking noise when I go from reverse into forward, etc. Straight away saw that the Offside drop link has completely peeled open and the ARB has liberated itself from any duties, gave every thing else a good shake and it all felt reasonably firm, so I think I can summise where the noise was coming from! Still an easy fix compared to ball-joints or similar. question: do you normally have to replace all of the washers and nuts when you re-bush the ARB, as I see they are sold seperately, although this kit looks attractive: [link=http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Porsche-944-968-Front-Anti-Roll-Bar-Bush-Kit-Poly-/280611740183?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4155c35a17]http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Porsche-944-968-Front-Anti-Roll-Bar-Bush-Kit-Poly-/280611740183?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4155c35a17[/link]

I wouldn't bother replacing the nuts and bolts unless rusted, but if I did I'd use stainless. There is nothing special about then.

Ref the bushes, try OPC if you're happy with standard ones. You may find they are cheaper. The ones I just bought for my square dash were only a few quid each

ORIGINAL: CarreraRSR Tomorrow I will be blasting up and back the M5/M42 to Coventry Transport Museum in the '24 turbo. Happy Days!! [:)]
Happy Days indeed. Came home with some silverware and service kit donated from Max @ Frazerpart for best turbo and best in show [:D]

Today I shampooed the entire interior to try and get rid of the musty smell of many years of little use. Also cleaned the leather bits too. Removed all the bits from around the spare wheel including a random piece of wire. Finally removed the rear wiper arm - it was the only rattle whilst driving and isn't working anyway right now when you click the switch. Now just going to check the oil.
