17" shouldn't be a problem. Even going to 18" is fine if the car's properly set up. The issue is that many 944s are in dire need of a proper alignment and changing wheels just exacerbates the problem.Bagged some 'crab claw' Boxster 17 inch wheels (I know, I know, buggars up the ride etc)
In my experience on slicks, brakes and then wheel bearings - possibly related to the heat of the brakes as well as the extra load. you will be much faster though!ORIGINAL: blease Bagged some 'crab claw' Boxster 17 inch wheels (I know, I know, buggars up the ride etc) for road driving so that I can slap some slicks on the D90's for better track fun. Stage 3 of 'chasing the dragon'. Stage 1. Track day with Konis....hmmm, needs better suspension. Stage 2. Fit Gaz Gold coilovers. Track day....hmmm, tyres giving up after a few laps. Stage 3. Fit slicks.....hmmm, what will be weak link now? (probably the driver followed by the brakes...place your bets here!)

Too early to suggest changing your auto signature?! Well done none the less, and I thought I had a successful day!ORIGINAL: madrob6 I finally put the engine back in! Not finished connecting everything back up yet but so relieved to have it back in.

Now you mention it I should probably remove the car I sold a few months back as well. It wasn't that much of a successful day, I discovered that the steering universal joint needs replacing as it's seized up and I still have to connect half the engine up. Still it gives me something to do next week.ORIGINAL: 944Fripp Too early to suggest changing your auto signature?! Well done none the less, and I thought I had a successful day!
