what did you do to your 944 today

Not today but last week Porsche centre Leicester fixed the air con in my Black Turbo, icy cold after a seal replaced and some connectors that needed updating. It's like being back in the 90s!

Bled the engine on the S2, took apart the driver's side rear view mirror in order to fix a vibration in it, rebuilt prisms in the dash pod in order to get some actual lighting in the night and adjusted the voltmeter reading that read completely wrong. A good day fixing niggles! [:)]

Hi Mark, is it you who owned the black turbo from new, then bought it back off the second owner? I was at OPC Leicester last week and Glen told me about it - took me in the workshop to gawp at it (I didn't touch!) I fell in love, that's one nice Turbo[8D]

Yup that's my car, thanks for the kind words, bought it close to new, first saucy car,it's a keeper now,but I might be selling my red one at some point similar condition just modified under the bonnet a bit.

ORIGINAL: A9XXC Andy - you would REALLY want the red one - show Rob the way to go!!!
?...but Rob's already got a red turbo! A turbo in the fastest colour though.......hmmmm.....could be tempted lol [8D]

went to Stamford classic car show with Rob and his better half. Nice day out, surprised out many cars were there. Some nice 944's too, including Andy Watson's on the Porsche Club pitch

Had a really good day out at Stamford, we were made welcome by the R.O. nice lunch at the Golden Fleece (think that's right!) and a wonerd around the town and just managed to see the Lancaster fly by. Andy, Rob where were you? Lin and I arrived at 11.45 left at 3.30 looked out for you..........next time an event is on we must exchange tel nos. Hope to see you soon

Hi Andy, we arrived about 1pm ish, saw your car but you weren't around. The next time we saw your car then was when you were pulling out of the meadow area, just opposite the Fleece (where me, Rob and his missile got a tad messy last night! [:D]) Shame we couldn't catch up, we'll be more organised next time!! lol

I fiddled with a pair of side-mounted Sparco seats. I think that they were made for anorexic midgets though - I can only just fit between the sides and the shoulder strap holes are halfway down my back!

You'd be able lead, and Rob (or pretty much anyone else!) would never catch you in it! Just about everything Lindsey Racing do!

Not certain but I think its in the 400bhp region, looks almost standard, slightly lowered maybe but goes like.......

Bled my brakes, yes, that's right Rob, I bled my brakes today - you can pick yourself up off the floor [:D] I owe you some brake fluid now chap [;)]

No worries mate. it's cheap as chips to buy and had it left over from refurbing my calipers. It would have only gone off anyway if not used [:)]

Got brake fluid all over my drive though [:(] It was so windy I thought I'd put the bottle I was bleeding in to in a flat bottomed container so it wouldn't blow over. The wind took the whole lot over [] It always seems to be blowing a gale when I work on my car!

Finally fixed the lack windscreen wash jetting ability. Actually putting some fluid in the washer bottle was a good start. I had to clean the totally clogged pendant filter before I could get anything more than a limp dribble from the jets though... Tried to change the spark plugs. Can't get them out! Looks like I'll be going to Halfords to get a 21mm plug socket so I can use my ratchet on it. And probably some penetrating spray too. Had a look at the dizzy cap and rotor. I'm no expert, but 'knackered' seems an appropriate engineering word to describe their condidtion. I'll post the pics in a seperate thread. Rob, I also re-discovered the underseal gun you lent me in the back of the car. Let me know if you need it back mate!
