ORIGINAL: colin944 A dark metalic blue is still top of the list. As for zermatt well I saw a nice lloking zermat turbo last week on the a90 just south of stirling in the rain and it was making progress shall we say. Anyone we know (Scam) ?????????
Guilty!

Still think you should consider diamond blue metallic.... like my first 944.

At least it looked better from behind than Wednesday night mate when it was billowing clouds of black smoke out the rear end!!! Luckily it turned out to be just a dislodged speed and reference sensor plug connector. I sorted that today and did some tidying up of cables and vacuum lines under the bonnet. Oh yeah then I gave Andy's 16 year old son a proper 944 experience. To be fair though Andy on the back roads where you can't really exercise the boost properly your was no slouch!!! Might have been a different story if I hadn't have let you lead though [:D] Indeed it was a different story on the A1 though when the old girl got a chance to lift her skirt [:)] I think Dan went home happy anyway. Oh and found out that my boot release microswitch is knackered [:(]

Wouldn't know what you're talking about mate [:D] Cheers again, Dan was well chuffed - I enjoyed it too - tend to just cruise about in the 944 more often than not, to give it a good ragging reminds you of one of the many reasons for buying it in the first place - puts a big grind on the face[8D]

Fitted a rear luggage cover after one of the previous owners removed it to save weight

I picked it up as a slightly damaged one from eBay and including shipping and buying some screws from wilkinsons, the whole lot cost me less than £25. All I need to do now to completely un-do the weight reduction project is to find a rear wiper to fit. Also, the car desperately needs a clean!

Took mine to Knockhill for a Tracknight, did 3 sessions, 1 on my own, then with an experienced trackday friend to give me pointers, then on my own again but with tyre pressures changed, what a difference. Alan.

MOT collected a shiny new cert, no advisories, lots of positive comments when I asked if there were any points to look out for. poor guy in a 2007 320d waiting beside me is off the the garden centre for a selection of bushes [8|], he asked me how old the 944 was, "had its 21st last April - twenty two".

Got my car on the NCT system at last... There was a mistake made in my taxbook for the car and Applus would not put it on until these were fixed..... It was down as a 911 on the main database in Shannon .. The chassis no was also wrong as well... The public service here is really hard to beat..... ! [:'(] At least now I have an NCT date on the 5-Oct .. [;)]

Drove it for the first time in 3 weeks. Discovered that the new luggage cover is rattling like a metal box full of springs... Do they all do that, or is mine 'unique'?

Should be as quite as a church mouse I'm afraid!! Stuart

Fixed a boost leak that was there since the car went together. Took it for a spin and thought the clutch had gone until the car started moving sideways. Quite hard to drive in the wet without looking like a hooligan now!

Took off the badge panel and undercovers on the S2 to do a bit of cleaning, spent a good hour cleaning the A/C condenser alone, I had forgotten how much filth it could gather! I emptied the coolant system too, but ran out of time to fill up and bleed - some more fun tomorrow.

Drove it to work, wish I could every day :)
I do...but it makes it a nightmare to keep clean, cost a small fortune in petrol adds tons of milage and gaines countless stone chips, however most of the roads on the way to work are bendy country roads and it is so much fun especially when Im really in the mood to "give it some",
So do I, and despite my best efforts it has spent the entire summer in Muck Flat Guards Pink, still love getting off the train and jumping into it, and it even cheers up the M4/M25/M1/A421/A1 coming home from Bracknell after a long day
