Eldavro - anything like these?
IMGP1162a.jpg
My wife won these at the Regional Christmas Dinner, very nice.

Pulled the engine out over the xmas holidays. Now on a stand waiting to be cleaned .Then a bit of a re-build.and back in.Oh and in the mean time engine bay is going to be painted.

Removed the clutch master cylinder...which was a mess! Degreased the clutch reservoir. Polished the reservoir bracket. I also enlisted the help of a neighbours carpenter to get the stricken car pushed off the gravel and onto a far more suitable surface for axle stands. The only issue is that the other cars have been displaced. The Fiesta is infront of someone elses garden, and the Rover is now blocking someones driveway! Hopefully I can get everything put back together tomorrow.

Just picked up a new gearlever and bush from my OPC. Fitting it tomorrow and hopefully, removing all that slop......[;)]

Not used mine since the beginning of October, so started her up today and started at the first turn of the key. I would love to take her out, but its on sorn until the weather warms up then it'll be my daily until the end of sept again.

free'd up a binding front caliper on my 89 S2 . Blasted bremos ! Whoever fitted new pads previously just prized the caliper pots back and rammed the new pads in without cleaning anything. When I looked today one pad was completly seized with zero wear and the other was 1mm thick and down to the metal.! The resultant rust on the seized side of the disc has ruined a perfectly good brake disc I think I'm going to need a replacement caliper and disc dammit[:D]

I got incredibly frustrated with the car today! After discovering that, with my terrible selection of tools, I couldn't get the starter off I decided just to fit the master cylinder and get the system bled so I can get it to a lift. However, despite investing in an eezibleed kit and buying a 7mm spanner, the system will not bleed. I can't even get the old stuff out! Either I've done something stupid (most likely) or the slave has managed to break at exactly the same time as the master and is full of gunk. Either way the car isn't back on the road and I'm running out of ideas. Also, the flexi hose that i got from PS doesn't seem to be the correct one. []

Shout if you need help, me and Rob could shoot over next weekend if he's free. He'll do the work and I'll eat the cottage pie [:D]

Cheers Andy (and Rob [;)]). That would be a fantastic help. I'll let the other half know that she'll probably be cooking for five next weekend (Me, her, Rob and double for you[:D])

is it that the pedal doesn't go soft ? or is it that the master cylinder slide is not returning to rest and recharging the cylinder ? Can you get any fluid out at all ? have you tried removing the nipple completly ? it might be blocked up ahh I see you have reinforcements on the way...[;)] mmmm cottage pie.... my favorite[:D]

Got back from ten days on the beach at Sharm el Sheik and she started first turn! So did a quick run to waitrose to refill the fridge. Most pleasing was no tickets in the mail from my rather enthusiastic drive from London to kent on Christmas morning. Of course that was offset by the memory of having my car towed from outside my girlfriends flat two days later. "Don't be ridiculous its a holiday it's fine to park there." £265 grrr... Anyway was nice to have a brief post holiday spin.

Yup, help is on its way, but i can play in the dark during the week in the mean time!. The pedal springs all the way to the bottom and doesn't return, so I guess it's not refilling. I haven't even got a drop out of the slave...but I didn't take the nipple all the way out. I might try that. I did notice a slight weep of fluid from the front of the slave though which seems a bit suspect to me.
