Where is the Early 911 Register Secretary?

ORIGINAL: Mike Moore

Quite why we cannot get an answer today to this question is beyond me. Its a pretty poor state of affairs if the Register Directer seems more interested in packing his socks for his latest jaunt, than spending a few minutes telling concerned members what is being done to replace the Early 911 Register Secretary.

As for responding in his own time, this situation has been dragging on for nearly a year, how much time does he need!

I don't imagine there is anyone except Helen willing to take on the roll ( & for some reason she has been ignored) .. Mike you're obviously passionate about the PCGB & the early 911 register, why not put yourself forward for the postition ?

Who knows who's putting themselves forward . . . . all I hope is, they're enthusiastic, relativeley knowedable, have the time, don't blow hot and cold when it comes to supporting the club and finally has the right personally to get on with people (but not to grate).

Make love not war [;)]

Phil

PS. . . Robin, enjoy your holiday.
i'm presuming that was aimed directly at me.

fair anough i guess. NO one is better than me [:D]

James, I'm not the right person. Firstly my car is a replica and that would certinly grate in some areas of the PCGB, but more importantly as you will know from reading the last page or two of this thread I am not the most diplomatic of people when it comes to saying what I think, might get a few peoples backs up!

recreation not replica [;)][:D] & ironically the star of the PCGB display @ Silverstone [:D]

Come on Mike at least ur capable of being constructive , theres nothing wrong with being forthright and maybe getting results .............theres nothing i am aware of that precludes ur very tangible knowledge of the older cars whether u happen to be running a replica or not.................fyi, it took a while to get the last sec register sorted [PT] so i would nt be too hard on Robin its now second time to try and find one in avery short period!

Of course you qualify Helen the sportomatic is the best transmission ever built by Porsche! [:D]

Go for it Mike

PS Don't think there's much resistance to recreations anymore (you're in a better position to comment on this mind you) . . . particulary if it's anything other than an RS [8|]

On behalf of the workers collective of RS recreation operatives, I have to point out to management that such attitudes will not be allowed by the rank and file and that action will be taken in the form of a go slow.

Collectively yesterday we tried to put pressure on the register director to tell us what he is doing about replacing Philip Tysom as Register Secretary.
At least he had the decency to respond, if only to tell us nothing. The fact that the PCGB is ignoring its members in this way shows an utter contempt
for our concerns, over a situation which has been dragging on for months.

I for one am beginning to feel that the money I pay to the club as an early car owner is being misappropriated as I am not being represented at
Register Secretary level, and the fact that our complaints are ignored shows nobody gives a toss, which is the very reason why I will not put
myself forward for the position.

Anyway I hope the Register Directer has a pleasant trip around Europe and in the meantime we remain without a Register Secretary.

Of course the one person who could shed some light on this is Tysom himself, perhaps he lurks in an internet twilight world and voyeuristically
views these threads, in which case he might like to tell the people he supposedly was representing whether he's done the decent thing and resigned.

What's new.....[]

Fair point Mike

At the risk of getting involved in bollotics . . . what do you want him to confirm? I suppose knowing there isn't a Reg Sec would be nice (as isn't this based on something Helen found out)? Perhaps you want to know why he hasn't jumped all over Helen's generouous offer.

With regards an article for this months Post . . . anyone got anything . . . . perhaps an advert [:D] . . needs to be in by the end of the month.

I just want to know what the f**k he's playing at! When he took on the job he took on the responsibilty of representing us, and by not keeping us informed about anything over the last 6 months, let alone this current situation, he has spectacularly failed in that responsibility.

Any bullshit about work, travelling and being busy, is just that, bullshit. We are all busy people, not even to acknowledge or apologise for his absence is just plain rude. How much of his precious time could it have taken 3 months ago to say "sorry guys too busy to carry on as Register Secretary, or need to delegate, can someone help out" Its just taken me 15 seconds to write that, obviously he thinks we are not worth 15 seconds of his time.

I've had enough of this, and I don't think we should put up with it.

Agree with your sentiments, but I think you could tone it down a bit, don't think we are talking 'end of the world as we know it' type thing and I'm not sure it's going to encourage anyone to come forward to fill his boots, just my 2p.[;)]
