It is strange how some cars just won't shift[&o] The red private low mileage car now with a dealer and still for sale[&o] The white private seller has just reduced his price again but with over 22k miles despite being the right spec he seems to be having no luck at all[:'(] Other than 911V the quickest movers have generally been from OPC's [&:]ORIGINAL: MrDemon 43k nice put the ave price back upto 38.6k shame that the silver one is priced so low, but it needs to be, it's still not selling even at that price. Tough car to sell that one imo.

The silver one needs a bigger price drop - the colour/seats/wheels all working against it - fine with one maybe two of those - but all 3 imo makes it hard to sell. I viewed the white one before buying mine - it all looked ok, just lacked PCM... but it needed a clean and light tidy up - If I had viewed it after that had been done, I may well have bought that one.
Thank goodness it wasn't mint otherwise you would never have got the cracking example you have today[ORIGINAL: Siy The silver one needs a bigger price drop - the colour/seats/wheels all working against it - fine with one maybe two of those - but all 3 imo makes it hard to sell. You just need to put the cars in order of which you'd most likely buy and why. Or easier still, make a short list of the ones you would overlook first, given what else is on sale. Might not work for all of them but i'm sure most would have the same 2 or 3 cars towards the bottom of their list and it'd include some of those that haven't sold for ages. Then the one or two for which it isn't obvious, there may be something of concern either when enquiring about the car or when viewing it.ORIGINAL: daro911 It is strange how some cars just won't shift[&o] The red private low mileage car now with a dealer and still for sale[&o] The white private seller has just reduced his price again but with over 22k miles despite being the right spec he seems to be having no luck at all[:'(] Other than 911V the quickest movers have generally been from OPC's [&:]
That private one for 32k is just amazing it has not sold. 22k miles is still not high, and that's the only thing which make people look at other cars with sub 10k miles, but at 32k now I cannot work out why it's not sold. I would def do SOR on that car with a dealer now. seems a great car and a great buy imo. the red one, is more tricky, the advert is rubbish, quoting all the stock items and even getting the seats wrong. when you dig deeper into the red car , it does not seem to have any options at all, no PSE, no SS, no Sports mode etc etc. so yes while it has buckets and wheels, it has no sports options. people seem to want every thing, all the sports options and the seats/wheels etc.
Well from my own view as this car is nearly identical spec, age etc to mine (but I have even more extras) I was pleased to see it sold within a few weeks at quite sensible money too[

Thought I recognised something from that picture. My Dad bought a bright red 1983 Volvo 240 DL from them on the day of my 18th birthday. Heated seats were a novelty back then and the Volvo's were automatic which certainly surprised some passengers on a winter day.ORIGINAL: daro911 Thank goodness it wasn't mint otherwise you would never have got the cracking example you have today[] Why do you think the red car isn't moving along assuming it is all as described of course[&o]

that's only the manuals and there are a lot more pdks. whilst the site is ok it is better to go on the dvla site as more accurate its VEH012* cant remember exact number. VEH0160 is more interesting as tells you how many cars were registered newORIGINAL: Andy Fagan Here's an interesting site. http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/porsche_cayman_r#!tax If I'm reading this right there are only 106 Cayman R's currently taxed and 4 SORN

Interesting, so it looks like 256 Cayman R's and 230 Spyders less any which have been written off, exported or converted to race cars etcVEH0160
Fugly Fat [ORIGINAL: jdpef356 Thoughts on this?![]()
It doesn't look any better with time[:'(] But i've never been into the roadster-to-racecar look. The wider track might be interesting to drive if it's been done properly but with so little information on it it's likely to be purely a crude cosmetic mod with extreme wheels and spacers.
Just goes to show that putting a value on these is still guess work. The Byfleet car is now very cheap and someone who's always wanted a Spyder but didn't have the budget can get in one with 2yr OPC for £35K. Silver has noticably been the colour people seem to crave after the least but for someone with other priorities it's now a bargain that will put plenty of smiles on the face of whoever buys it. PSE, PCM, Sports Chrono, manual box etc will tick someone's boxes even if they have to source some Spyder wheels. It's unfortunate that it's needed such a price drop to get someone to look at it but it seems colour is a very big factor.ORIGINAL: daro911 Fresh stock, very late registration, nice spec with the right gearbox for Brian[] flat6 & Rob K will be happy to see the prices firming up again despite summer being all but over [&:] With 2 Years of Porsche Approved Warranty Transmission: Automatic Fuel: Petrol Colour: Carrara White Colour (interior): Black leatherette interior with sports seats leather Location of the car: Porsche Centre Bristol Vehicle Ident Number: WP0ZZZ98ZBS740969 Mileage: 3,822 m Registration Year: 12/11 Price: £ 42,990 Equipment 19-inch Boxster Spyder Wheel Floor mats Fully automatic climate control Heated seats ParkAssist (rear) Porsche Communication Management (PCM) including navigation module Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) Sound Package Plus including CD storage Sport Chrono Package Plus Sports seats Telephone module for PCM Universal audio interface BS10 7UH Bristol Phone: +44-117-9002911 Fax: +44-117-9002944
