Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

Everyone is different and I am becoming increasingly aware that some people don't even bother initiating conversation on here because of the likelihood of how it will degenerate. It's a pity because the number of people who regularly contribute isn't growing in line with how many people have declared spyder or R ownership on here. Other forums are the place for abrasive banter, which is why I'm on here as I can't be bothered sifting loads of confrontational posts. Conversely I wouldn expect some to find this forum entertaining and we don't attract every spyder & R owner on the interweb. Horses for courses. It doesn't mean people are too sensitive, I'm certainly not. It just that some haven't got the inclination to expend energy defending their opinion. Sometimes I will if I think what has been said is misinforming the forum, otherwise I can't be bothered either. Sometimes people get frustrated that it is stifling their willingness to join in and it comes across as being sensitive.

We can't back it up from 'over this side'. We're viewing the data through the web front end which only displays the page you request. There's no quick way to pull it all off in one go. The back end where the data is stored on a server is where all the data is the pages is held in one place to extract in one go. Be prepared for doomsday fellas. Grab your best bits in case they disappear[:-][:)]

ORIGINAL: flat6 Hi Andy. So do you reckon overall it will be quicker around a lap because of being quicker through the gears? Or the issue you mention on down changes cancels that out?
Hard to say Cecil. Without doing back to back tests on a clear track it would be difficult to judge, however the upchanging is impressively quick without leaving the power band.

Whilst looking for this page http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=719756&mpage=263 I found this page http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=719756&mpage=324 Some things to look at as doomsday looms[:-][:)]

Found http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=802933&mpage=1&key=&#802933 As no-one ever understood why the huge thread disappeared last time, I think there's no way to guarantee the same won't happen again! The plan is to transfer everything intact, and achieving that is part of the reason it's a slow process. As I understand, it's not just an update, but more like changing from Windows 2000 to Windows 8, and you never know quite how the old info will survive the move. See you all on the other side!

I know, but I can't be bothered talking about my car when I know full well that he will be along a few minutes later to regurgitate the same old thing about manual, buckets, wheels, PSE, blah blah blah.
ORIGINAL: MrDemon I then have to ask why did you go and post about my attitude alone and make a big point about it, ?
See above; you're like a stuck record - let's face it, we all know that you think no other Spyder matches up to yours. I actually think your Spyder is a great spec, but if I didn't I wouldn't spend all my time criticising it. I hope you can have a think about what I (and plenty of others) feel, because being nice is far more satisfying! That's going to be my last comment on the matter, because I don't want to further derail the interesting conversation that's taking place regarding the merits of PDK. [:)]
I am nice ;-p , I also quoted the PDK will outdrag a Manual and be faster on a track !!! is that not pro PDK enough for you ? so not sure what you have an issue with, and what stuck record ?, I am being pro PDK, you are making it a stuck record !!!! you want me to arse lick and be a yes man ? while you want to have ago at me on my attitude and state why I even have any friends lol I would take a look in the mirror about the being nice thing. As I have not make any personal attacks on you in the way you have on me ! As for plenty of others , you speak for every one here do you ? I know Billy has an issue with me and voices it in a personal way also and it seems you also do, that's forums I guess. either ignore my posts or comment on the points in the threads, don't just post to make a personal issue with me !!!

I don't have an issue with you, I have an issue with your posting style (whether the two can be detached, who knows), in particular the way you criticise the perfectly valid choices of others just because they don't accord with your own (as I've made perfectly clear previously). When I did the same to you you had a big toy-throwing tantrum and posted "to make a personal issue with me" rather than on the point being made. It's no surprise that other posters may not be bothered to counter what you say given such an agressive reaction. You have to accept (as, perhaps, at last, you are doing) that just because you don't like something, or it doesn't precisely match with what you have done, doesn't mean that it's "wrong". It indicates significant insecurity that you feel that you have to justify your decisions by criticising others. It is a shame that how you say things overshadows what you are saying, which may well be insightful and well-considered. I suppose you're being "nice" to your friends when you deam them not to have the skill-set to drive a manual.

Very well said, I speak from experience when I say its good to reread what you are about to post before pressing send/submit!! If there is even the slightest doubt about how something sounds in text then the delete key needs to be used. I find your posting style MrD is often abrasive and antagonising but am equally interested in your experience, driving ability and point of view. Depends how tired I am as to whether I bite and dig out my own spoon!!

Spydermen before our forum gets pulled and lost forever should the migration go pear shaped let's all kiss & make-up as it is that time of year after all[:D]

There was a time that I could pretty much guarantee that if typed the dreaded characters '4' and 'c' there would be a reply containing some or all of the words 'Elise', 'wider', 'interior', 'lights', 'V6', '4pot', every time, followed by a period of about 2 weeks with more posts about '4' 'c'. Wasn't worth responding to:rolleyes: if it's going to fan the flames on the fire. Easier just to live & let live. Was amazing though how some put as much passion and energy into writing about what they don't like as well as what they do like:rolleyes:. But I think there are enough people on here who can appreciate what you write about, to be able get past the controversial interjections[:)]

Often some interesting perspective on here, always seems a little odd that the "guests of the club" seem to stir it up the most. Not passionate enough about the cars and banter to join PCGB? [:D]
