Hey buddy, I only just spotted what you've done there with the pic! Top drawer Andy!! I'm saving that down and can put the racing driver's book of excuses away[] Cheers[]
I guess because they're forged rather than cast and because its a classic design that has a lot from the past attached to it. Just had a read of casting vs forging here http://www.corwheels.com/forged-vs-cast-wheels-what%E2%80%99s-the-difference/ Question, so if forged wheels are generally lighter because they are stronger than cast and therefore can use less material, why is it that whilst the turbo and turbo II wheels are forged, the Spyder the lightest wheel Porsche makes on any 987 & 997?[8|] (Is it lighter than 981 & 991 wheels too?[8|][8|] )ORIGINAL: Giff The Fuchs are amazing but looking at that link a full set is close to half the value of my Cayman..
Cracking find and if only it had been a PDK we would have had the full house of rights and wrongs in one example []ORIGINAL: flat6 Whilst looking for Fuchs this came up. Pertinent for a new page new pic given the various discussion topics[]
ORIGINAL: jdpef356 I have never seen a Red Spyder with colour coded wheels to match and come to think of it, don't wish to do so![]
Like you warned me when you posted your Spyderwoman [][][][]ORIGINAL: jdpef356 Daro Your could have warned me you were going to post this![]
Careful now - Just the touch of a button and she can land on you lap (Top) [][]ORIGINAL: daro911Like you warned me when you posted your Spyderwoman [][][][]ORIGINAL: jdpef356 Daro Your could have warned me you were going to post this![]
Agreed but it was just to give John an idea on what a Spyder with red wheels looks like before he gets his paint brushes out[]ORIGINAL: flat6 That red Spyder with red wheels is a photoshop.
Hi John. What do I think. Well, for some reason I think these colour combinations look good on the old classic cars. Either the body colour like you've shown or a contrasting colour.ORIGINAL: jdpef356 Looking back to the days when the Fuch wheel came along. I recall a few cars that had these Fuch wheels factory colour coded to match the car - see 3.3 Turbo below. I have also seen these on other original 80's cars in white. They never looked quite right to me. What do you think?Would you take a set of Fuch wheels and colour code on your Spyder? The only standard spyder wheel that works for me colour coded is on the Black cars and those that have the silver rim I have never seen a Red Spyder with colour coded wheels to match and come to think of it, don't wish to do so![]
If some of the club's track enthusiasts are going to be elsewhere at Club motorsport events, it doesn't give the Angelsey track day a good chance of getting the numbers, does it? I presume all things considered they've decided it's still the best date, adjancent to Llandudno? But then again, many that go to Llandudno don't do track days because if we'd have had a quarter of the cars at Llandudno at the track it would have been oversubscribed... There was one more pic on the website for that red car and it was Recaro seats. The pic didn't show whether or not it had a radio though[]. Can't find it now.ORIGINAL: rob.kellock The seats in that red one look good with the back of them being painted body colour. They are non OEM I think (can I see the beginning of the word Recaro on the back of the headrest?) as surely nobody would paint over the lovely carbon fibre originals! flat6 - looks like Anglesey clashes with a couple of race meetings - Andy Fagan has a PCGB event that day which is a mighty shame [8|]
