Cayman GT4: Where are we up to now?

I downloaded onto my computer which automatically scans any new downloaded files and I have scanned it again, I had no virus or malware messages. However you are right to be careful if your system considered it unsafe.

Is the site your system has warned against or the file itself when downloading?

I had trouble getting it also,(got betfair adds etc) so made a new one, it's on my website

The file is probably ok.

Looks like the site is suspect. Downloaders beware of dodgy goings on when visiting the Zippyshare site.

Hmm.! A novel take on decals Ralph and it's certainly unusual and quite striking in a way.

The roof's possibly a wrap so everything should be reversible if the owner changes his mind or if a future owner doesn't share the current owner's tastes.

Some seriously abused discs there Ralph. I think that I'd be looking to replace them long before cracks started occuring at the edges.

Incidentally, I have to profess ignorance of the J-Hook technology - an interesting take on the slotted disc I presume. I would imagine that they could be a bit noisy as the individual Js move through the pads; not a problem for a race car though.

Talk about overdriving a car or what! That focus looked horrible to drive on track. Its tyres and brakes would be shot after a couple of sessions being driven like that. The GT4 would carry on going round all day.

 
Driven by a journo Steve, so definitely not his own car..!

I think Cup 2 tyres are an option for the RS but I don't know if they were fitted on that car.

The focus was trying very hard and only really kept up because of traffic for the GT4 and the video was only one lap, guess the focus got nailed after that lol, plus check out the focus oil temp !!

guess the GT4 was being driven by its owner ?

Had my first drive in my team's GT4 Cup on the Silverstone GP circuit on Thursday. I've being campaigned primarily in the Creventic 24 hour series this year but I'm also getting a chance to drive it in Britcar and possible GT Cup too.



First to say that is just so easy to drive - expecially now we've redone the geometry - and the PDK is a dream to use. Absolutely no clunkyness to the shifts - reassuring for racing in wet conditions.





Problem is that as it stands now, its about 200kg too heavy and therefore isn't particularly competitive - as bourne out by their running in the European GT4 Championship last weekend when they were squarely thrashed by a couple of Caymans built by a German race team last season.



The car is owned by the guy I raced with in Britcar last season, Fareed Ali, who flies in from Toronto to race. We're going to share it for the Britcar Endurance 3-hour race at Donington on 4th June then he'll solo drive it in the Britcar Production races on the Sunday. Don't know what class we'll be in yet, so can't say how well we'll do - but I can say we'll be enjoying ourselves! This is only the second paddle-shift race car I've driven and only the third LHD, but within 5 seconds of leaving the Silverstone pit lane exit I was at 100% throttle!
