Yikes - didn't mean this as an insult - just a fact. Our current RO has simply had to work overseas a lot and has been unavailable to put time into the job. I am not trying to vote anyone out - I am totally fed up with the politics in this club and don't want to get involved. I just can't understand how someone would actually want to stay in a post that they just didn't have time (through no fault of their own) to commit to. If it were me I'd want to hand the task over rather than feel guilty about my lack of presence....

It is no good being RO if you are not able to put any time into the job
Peter's right that the forum isn't the best place to discuss things like this; there is a proper proceedure and you sort of have to stick to it for everyone's benefit.
The first thing to do is talk to the Regional Director about any problems, it's his job to sort out who runs what region and if they need more help. I can't see why you shouldn't have a couple of helpers with a region like London that's quite spread-out and has several monthly events. The Rgional Director should be able to help put a team together from the RO and the obviously willing volunteers here? []
