Morning all
The process of revitalising R20 with a change of personnel is currently the subject of dialogue between the active members and Paul Seagrave the Regional Director.
When a satisfactory solution is reached we will commence a programme of events worthy of the region.
We intend to meet at Fatboys diner next Saturday to compile an agreed methodolgy to instigate change and to plan the calender. All welcome.

Although I am not over the moon with the lack of R20 events and would like more, I also am not a supporter of some secret splinter R20 group who organise events between themselves.
Either they are PCGB R20 events or just a bunch of mates organising private get togethers.
I would dearly love to be involved in some of these "secret" events but I never see them mentioned or advertised on here or in Porsche Post (excepting the Brighton run that has recently been posted here).
I have attended a fair few Ace Cafe meets in the past (although not in recent months as I have started to lose faith) and spoken to a few people at those meets but no one has mentioned any of these events to me.
If there is a change at the top of R20 (maybe now is the right time with Kish taking on other responsibilities as a PCGB Director) can I please ask that there is better, more open communication and a move away from this secret clique approach.
Before anyone jumps down my throat, I am not having a pop at anyone, just venting some frustration that there is little official activity but more unofficial activity which only seems to be open to those in the know [

Don't know your name but you are correct in stating the obvious that there have been no official R20 events on offer apart from the hackneyed repeats for the last three years.
This is the responsibility of the RO who we are seeking to replace and if you have read the thread in full you will be fully up to speed with the current situation.
Not sure where the 'secret ' reference comes from, a group of active and committed members [ mates if you like] have fulfilled a large and comprehensive programme of activities on a personal but certainly not exclusive basis in spite of the inactive regional organisation and have been trying for a while to extend this enthusiasm and experience to the membership in general, hence the distasteful process currently in play.
As soon as a new RO is in place you will see a step change in activities on offer and we will be delighted if you play a part in their execution.
The regions are the engine of the club and rely on everyone to contribute.
