Although my car lay idle (we removed the DME to test Andy's 3.2) I was really pleased to see the great way people mucked in / offered cakes from the boot of the car, shared war stories about favourite roads, and just had fun.
In particular, the "rush to the keys" was a little like a GP start from old, when the clamper arrived []
Nice one

Rolling Road figures should always be taken with a bit of a pinch of salt
Especially when the rollers have all the percieved "mu" of a skating rink....or someone dumps oil over them..[&:][&:][]
but I bet you'd prefer smooooooooth curves
Got more torques as well.
I'm only jealous, but just you wait.

I'm not sure, feels brisker but I reckon thats to do with a sense of well being after the rollers and me putting my foot down harder?

..... but having 323 bhp also helps.

That'll be down to the post trauma endorphines kicking in, following the relief of having seen your pride and joy seemingly thrashed within an inch of its life. []
It's great when a conversion shows a positive difference []
Mine was showing 200+ at 3000 rpm on the dials, while Rick tried to get it to run, so that must bode well for when the chips are sorted.

Great to meet a load of you guys, the bacon butties were superb -- stroke of genius to get the cafe van.
My power output was a lowly 221bhp (factory says 240PS say 235bhp), this compared to some of the marvellous figures achieved by you guys. So am quietly sulking in Kettering!! -- engine wise the car is bog standard apart from NGK Iridium plugs.
My torque has a very nice flat and high bit to the curve, this is due to the Variocam -- so that seems to be working OK. The Jamsport guy doing the trace did say it delivered the power very smoothly, which is some consolation -- this probably helps me to keep it on the circuit when I do trackdays!!

Not been on over the weekend because of going to the PCGB Cotswold rally yesterday.
My e-mail's down this morning, but I should be able to start uploading to my site probably tomorrow (work permitting).
Anyone who wants a copy of the sheet will be able to download it from there. Also the individual Dyno sheets ....
Andrew, Thanks for the e-mail. I'll probably ring you later ....
Rick.

I'm missing a dyno chart & figures for F 410 GEC - John B. Also Terry (J 967 NLM) left with his chart before I could scan it or note the figures. If you can get them to me, I'll update things on the site.
I also need to know who had fitted their Tial !!! and any other corrctions to the table.
Best of the day were definately Paul Smith & Tony Foote. Excellent result for the GURU upgrade.
The Blitz chip upgrade to Darren (Flamingeye)'s S2 worked well, upping the power by 8 bhp & 13 Lb/Ft torque.
The only cars that discgraced themselves on the day were mine and John Simms. Both of these were just fitted with the new GURU Map kits and needed to be mapped.
In Johns case, the fuel map was so far out that it needed a significant modification with the Link programmer just to make it safe to drive. It seems that there's still a lot of work to be done on UK spec cars to resolve differences from the USA cars that the maps are written for.
Mine was suffering from a problem with boost control being exaggerated by the much better climb in the torque curve since fitting the MAP kit. My boost controller is programmable and I need to run on the rollers to set the gain values to control the new torque curve.
My power run was carried out at 16 PSI peak, with the controller not controlling the surge properly. I'm sure this is down to boost controller settings, or the controller has a fault.
The fuel map was also a long way out, going far too rich as the boost increased and maxed out the #55 injectors. Time prevented programming round these issues on the day.
After the dyno session I did drive to Nottingham and back, which gave me a chance to start altering the fuel map against the narrow band A/F sensor under extended boost conditions (under 70 mph of course [][][]) up long motroway hills, so the top end's a lot smoother now and not running nearly so rich. The difference can definetely be felt.
Not the best of results, but the car is in an interim stage waiting for the head/turbo etc in the next few weeks. Look out for a new power run when it's been properly mapped !!
