what did you do to your 944 today

Crumbs. How hard-wearing is it? My (oval) dash is starting to crack quite badly across the top, and I'm wondering what to do about it. This looks ... interesting. Oli.

Zcacogp it is hard wearing especially on none moveable parts. Have had a rear vinyl seat done recently to match some racing seats and the chap has had children in the back with little effect. and to be honest at the price if things do wear they can be done again cheaply. i have a 1986 black 944 that i have been pondering what to do with and having seen results of this one i am going to do a two tone job on it. Must use flexible resin on the moveable parts - not many people use this so be careful where you get it done. cheers

Could flocking be the new vinyl wrapping? Would be cheaper than a respray and I bet no ones done bodywork with it before! On a serious note, nice work Elliot. I had a mate do a MK1 Golf dash some time ago and it looked spot on - which I didn't expect

Changed the oil and filter, and while I was at it, the pressure sender, taken from the old 2.5 engine in the garage. I now have a working pressure gauge for the first time since I got the 2.7[:)] Just gives me another gauge to worry about [8|]

Put the old sender back in and have one less thing to stress about [8D]
I like having things work! And as its showing hot tickover at about 2.5B I'll leave the sender as it is NB Just swapping over the contacts will give you a permanent 5+ B.

Washed and drove the turbo for the first time this year.

Will be at Ace Cafe next Saturday for a 924 meet, back in the paint shop for some paint rectification, then a full engine transplant and FMIC install for April/May.

Nope! This is a 944 only forum. I'll need to confiscate your 924 to stop you posting pics of it here...
+1 although I think confiscating those wheels should be enough................I WANTED THOSE TO FIT MINE !!!!

ordered what the dealers tell me is the last headlamp mount porsche have, Got car back with new MOT only £600 this time - Needed work on sills, heading for having to renew for next year or scrap car[&o] New rear discs and pads with work done to clean up callipers, brakes a lot better than they have ever been So this year need to decide, spend lots on bodywork or look for another one in better condition and use the present car as spares, suggestions please?

Cleaned it, swore at it, touched up a few paint chips it picked up on the Rutland run and threatened to scrap it.

Keep it. You know the condition of the car, and buying a replacement will be a lottery which could cost you dear. Also, these are getting rarer with time; losing another one from the roads would be just that - a loss. Oli.

Re-sealed one of my rear lights, they've been leaking since the back end was resprayed. Only did the one though, didn't realise I'd need a whole tube of sealer for one side! Will buy some more sealer and do the other when I know this first one's sorted ;)

Cleaned her up after the snowy sleeting trip home from Rutland last Sunday, went for drive ended up at Bluewater late afternoon and home again around 6ish. Last Sunday in the dismal weather saw 19 of them [:D], this lovely sunny mild day not a 944 in sight, where you al gone??
