what did you do to your 944 today

Was down at the in laws last weekend , took the cover off and had her started ..... Got the tax form ready for next week.. ! Not long to wait now my sweet [;)] Going to get a 08 Civic Diesel for Mrs.Vanhire outside Manchester next Tuesday - This calls for a diversion to Hartech in Bolton for a set of wisbones on the way to the boat [:D]

Mark If i was behind you i would have picked it, marinated in Port and Gralic, Black Pud, and Smoky Bacon, with roast Tatties.......Knock Out. Always have a few on the table at Chrimbo, quite common around here, hope the car is okay ! Fed the leather on the 220, put the glovebox back together, hoovered and cleaned the interior, tidied up and re routed some of the vacuum hoses ready for tax, just need to find a garage with some petrol for sale......................knee jerk idiots have emptied the local garages []

Completely failed to find any V Power or any super unleaded. Parked it up and sulked, driving the work hack when I'm not working is depressing.

Replaced the water temp sensor on the engine block and had a run out to Cadwell Park, didn't improve the cold start and still running slightly rich. Pretty good for the first run out of the year having been layed up for 12 months[:)]

Gave her a quick onceover before MOT next week. Handbrake tightened, number plate and foglight bulbs replaced. Hopefully that will be it

She will fly it Paul ! Reading that has made me do up another "List" for NCT [:D] Big Wishbones ( Next Tuesday from Hartech) Caliper refurb x 4 (Plates and bolts ready) Not so Big Disconnect US marker lights and fit previously modified front indicator units. Complete cleandown of the underside for NCT Change brake/clutch fluid Drain and flush cooling system Mickey Mouse Number plate lights - Handbrake - Oil/filters I am a bit concerned about the NCT test.. The car is not fitted with rear foglights and there is only lap belts in the rear instead of 3 point affairs. I am going to sing dumb and put her in anyway. [;)]

Been stuck in the house for three days due to food piosoning/bug.Cant afford to loose that much spanner time as I only have aset amount of time before rest of the car is painted.I want it back on it's wheels before then. But good news is engine bay looks amazing and the colour is fantastic. Not a Porsche colour though custom colour mixed by my painter friend and he got the shade just right, what a hero.

Fitted a new heater control valve, re-charged coolant, replaced one of the fog light casings, run her up temp everything seems ok. If weather allows MOT on Wednesday[:(]

Im certain you will need fog lights, when I was doing a SVA a few years back you certainly needed them then.

Fitted drop link bar stiffeners, cleaned the glass and the inside of the wheels, still have an intermittent fault with the horn having a mind of it's own after changing the steering wheel (fuse now removed) bloody brake pad warning light has now came on, so i must have disturbed the wiring whilst in there, removed the 7mm spanner dropped on to the undertray. Drolled over a friends Aston Martin Vantage..........................Uber Sexy !

Getting there with a replacement engine in the 924 turbo. It should have the manifold and turbo fitted with new 14 tonne shear studs, locking nuts and all lock wired up by tomorrow and back in the car Tuesday.
