ORIGINAL: Kongsodoken That looks great[:)]...I wish my engine was that clean[:(] I went to my local Porsche dealer and purchased a full set of interior plastics......

MMMmmmmmmmm I got set of those as well, can't wait to see your finished car Ken

You're right. A lucky bleep indeed. Great value day...£260 (over £400 in May). You take a chance with the weather and we were dead lucky. Lovely clear day...cold but dry. Circuit rubbered in well by pm. Generally fantastic day apart from ill-considered bullying by some bimmer-louts who spoilt one of my runs. Everyone else v.well mannered, esp GT3/2 and cup car guys who waited patiently to get by. Learnt something very interesting about dynamics resulting from massive lift just as suspension is rebounding from a compression...your rear end unsticks very rapidly!. Yes, I managed a 360 at Raidillon. Went fully comitted into Eau Rouge and then spotted a car parked right at the top of the hill. Reflex lifted just as rear end went light as we crested. Just missed offending vehicle as we went by backwards and completed spin in front of marshals post at the top...able to carry and clear the danger zone. Now feel like James Bond martini!!

Some nice new fuel lines and a full set of brake lines and flexis on a Turbo Cab. What a job bending 9 feets worth of 8 and 10 mm Kunifer. Should start selling them! Coupe ones much easier as in 2 halves.

Got back from Paris to London at 11:00 last night so stayed at my girlfriends place in London. Up at 6:30 to grab the train back to Reading then wander over to the street where I park my car (my streets too narrow and it's been hit 2X). After a week the car is absolutely covered in bird poo and tree sap. The birds seem to love guards red! Do they aim for it?

I would get it off quick as bird do can etch into the paint.[] Edd

ORIGINAL: j4mou another layer of wax and a little drive [:D] bumped into this noisy little bugger being driven (fast) by an old bloke, who looked very familiar. [;)]

*Drool* I love those little things! Yesterday I bought an original brochure to go with the car's already plump history. I had an entertaining evening last night reading about what were deemed special features in 1984!

Finally got leaking power steering rack sorted, recon rack fitted from Western Power Steering and new pressure pipe from power-steering.co.uk, £80 instead of £195 Porsche item. Expensive lesson learned, dont put brake fluid in your PS reservoir! Edd

Bought a Lindsay Racing DPW at a keen price for my project turbo from DVB - the lovely guys there also threw in an MBC free of cost! Great service.

Popped into Porsche Leicester had them check my coolant level, cleaned it and put it away after a full week of use,i even drove it in the rain!

Swapped the rear brakes, the old ones were showing their age and milage.......

And they are a lot better than the fronts were......

Had SVP near Droitwich replace the power steering return pipe and fit new oil cooler. Excellent work all round and no more puddles!

Not a 944 but... I can justify this though. I've been trying out Bilt-hamber's clay and auto balm before I use it on the Porka. The Rover was the ideal 'practice car' - especially considering the fact that the 944 is 170 miles away ([:(]) Shiny!

I can't wait to see how deep the black will look with reflections like this.

Swirl marks banished!

OK. I promise never to post pictures of the Rover in here again. Honest!

Cheers Andy [;)] It's oop north in the father-in-law's garage having new engine mounts fitted, sorting out the start of corrosion in the battery tray before it becomes a problem and getting prepped for its MoT. Free car maintenance was one of the terms of the Dowry. [:D]
